Summer Programs

SUMMER CAMPS AND WORKSHOPS ARE HERE!

Spend your summer at CM and experience one of the many athletic camps and enrichment workshops we offer. 

Our athletics programs allow boys to work with our varsity coaches and student-athletes! We have sports camp options for boys entering grades 4 through 9, while our enrichment workshops allow students entering grades 6 through 12 to develop or enhance writing, math, and public speaking skills.

Athletic Clinics

  • Baseball

    Dates: July 13 - 16
    Time: 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.
    Grades: 4 - 9
    Cost: $295
    Players will receive instruction on throwing, fielding, pitching, and hitting. There will be stations, contests, and games to allow campers to develop their skills. The clinic will be run by Head Varsity Baseball Coach Hal Carey. Coach Carey is a 1995 CM graduate and has been head coach since 2005. The CM Baseball team were Catholic Conference Champions in 2010 and 2022, and Division 1 State Semi-Finalist 2022. Both Boys and Girls welcome.
  • Basketball

    Date: July 27 - 30
    Time: 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.
    Grades: 4 - 9
    Cost: $295
    Under the direction of Coach Sidney Sarfo and his staff, players will learn the fundamentals of the game and improve their skills through various drills and games. Each player will leave the CM basketball clinic with improved skills and confidence in their basketball abilities. Both Boys and Girls welcome.
  • Soccer

    Cost: $295
    CM Soccer Clinic offers an outstanding opportunity for boys and girls in grades 4-9 to develop and improve their soccer skills. Players will learn techniques to enhance their individual skill level from an experienced staff. Work with Varsity Head Coach Chris Bingham and staff to strengthen your physical and technical skills.

    All facets of soccer (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and defense) will be worked on daily. Whether you are an experienced player or only a beginner, the CM Soccer coaches will work to take your game to the next level. Both Boys and Girls welcome.
  • Football

    Dates: July 27 - 29

    5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
    Grades: 6 - 9
    Cost: $295
    Football players entering grades 6 - 9 are invited to join Coach John DiBiaso, one of Massachusetts’ winningest high school football coaches and the head of the 2021, 2022, 2024 & 2025 MIAA Division II State Champions, for the CM Summer Football Clinic. Join us for an exceptional clinic that will help players develop their skills and participate in conditioning drills to prepare them for the fall.
  • Lacrosse

    Dates: August 3 - 6
    Time: 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.
    Grades: 6 - 9
    Cost: $295
    Catholic Memorial’s Lacrosse Clinic will teach boys entering grade 6 – 9 the great game of lacrosse and develop their skills to bring their game to the next level. The clinic will provide players with individual instruction and team fundamentals. Whether you have just recently started playing, or are preparing for club or high school tryouts, this clinic is designed to benefit all skill levels. The clinic stresses the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork.
  • Hockey (Birth Years 2016 - 2018)

    Dates: August 17 - 20
    Time: 5:00 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.
    Cost: $350
    Join Catholic Memorial's 2025 MIAA Division I State Championship Head Coach Larry Rooney and varsity players for CM's Summer Hockey Clinic. Players at all skill levels are welcome. Players will practice fundamental skills of skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. In addition to skills, players will engage in drills designed to create situational awareness. The clinic runs Monday through Thursday at Roche Rink on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury.

  • College Essay Writing

    Dates: June 15 & 16 and June 22 & 23
    Times: 10:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Grades: Rising Seniors Only
    Cost: $325
    Rising Seniors, get a jump start on the college application process. Make good use of your time this summer and craft a personal statement that introduces you to college admissions officers.  This in-person class will help you to allow your voice to emerge from the page by selecting a strong topic and demonstrating your writing skills. By the end of the course, you will have a working draft of your college essay that has been peer-reviewed and edited by your instructor, Mr. Rufo.

  • Speech & Debate Workshop

    Dates: Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26 and Monday, June 29 - Thursday, July 02
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Grades: 7th - 12th
    Cost: $375
    Catholic Memorial’s 2026 Speech & Debate Team is (again) Massachusetts State Champions for the 8th straight year, and 9th year out of the last 10 years. CM's Speech & Debate team members have been State Champions and National Champions, dating back to 1985 (73 Mass State Champions and 5 National Champions) Speech and Debate (catholicmemorial.org)

    This June 2026, the 13th annual Catholic Memorial Speech and Debate Workshop will be held Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26 and Monday, June 29 - Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 am through 11:00 am. Students are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks. Tee shirts, shorts and sneakers are typical attire.

    The participants will be introduced to various forms of debating, rhetoric, public address, model Congress as well as dramatic and humorous performance. The complete list of these categories, with an explanation of all events can be found at msdlonline.org/events.
    The teacher will be Br. Anthony K. Cavet, assisted by members of the CM Speech and Debate team.
    Rising 7th - 12th grade boys and girls are welcome to share this early summer experience.

  • Rising 7th - 9th Grade English

    Dates: July 27 - 30
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.
    Grades: Rising 7 - 9
    Cost: $200
    *If you take both English and Math: $375 total. 
    The English Enrichment class will focus on improving students' sentence structure, vocabulary, and close reading of texts. Additionally, we will focus on how to quote directly from a text to support an argument. This class runs from 9:00 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.
  • Rising 7th - 9th Grade Math

    Dates: July 27 - 30
    Time: 10:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
    Grades: Rising 7 - 9
    Cost: $200
    *If you take both Math and English: $375 total. 
    The Math Enrichment class is designed to help augment what your child learned in their Pre-Algebra class and to prepare them for Algebra.  Topics include order of operations, operations with positive and negative integers, operations with fractions/mixed numbers, and basics of algebra (linear equations and evaluating expressions). This class runs from 10:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
