  • What is planned giving?

    Planned giving is a win-win approach to giving that supports Catholic Memorial and can benefit you now and/or in the future. Simply put, "planned giving" is the transfer of assets to CM during your lifetime or as part of an estate plan.
  • Why planned giving?

    By planning ahead, you may enjoy important tax benefits as well as peace of mind knowing your hard-earned assets will be used to accomplish your wishes.
  • Is it difficult to do?

    Planned giving is easy to do and you don't have to be wealthy to do it. Call CM to learn more.
  • Who is in control?

    You! You can change your estate plans at any time, and you remain in control of your assets. If you die without a will, state law generally determines where your assets go.
  • What kind of impact will my planned gift have?

    Your gift will strengthen CM. Designating a planned gift automatically makes you a member of the Cornerstone Society. Society members are recognized in publications and receive invitations to special events.
  • I'm not rich -- is planned giving for me?

    Donors at a variety of income levels can benefit as different types of planned gifts can offer attractive tax benefits. Be sure to consult with your financial or legal advisor for specifics.
  • Does it take away from my family or other priorities?

    Planned gifts can help ensure more of your assets are available for the people and causes you care about.
  • What kinds of things can I use to make a planned gift?

    A collection of artwork or other valuables, a life insurance policy, real estate, stock, and an interest in a business are just some of the kinds of assets that can be planned gifts.
