Regular-season losses to Catholic Conference rivals Xaverian and St. John’s Prep could have dented the morale at Catholic Memorial.
Instead, the Knights used their only two defeats as an incentive to get better.
“Attitudes could have changed,” coach John DiBiaso said after CM repeated as Division 2 champion, capturing its fourth title in five years with a commanding 41-14 win over Bishop Feehan at Gillette Stadium.
