The Massachusetts state legislature created MEFA in 1982 at the request of colleges and universities across the Commonwealth. Since its inception, MEFA has offered low-cost college financing to families of aspiring college students.

There are many resources to search for college financing. We recommend GoingMerry.com as a database for students looking for additional scholarships to cover college costs.

Families will need to complete the FAFSA for each student going to college. Additionally, many colleges recommend completing the CSS Profile as well.
