    Mrs. Corsano has moderated the National Honor Society and student-resource center during her time at CM.She has also managedpeer tutoring and study-strategy workshops after school while assisting in numerous theater productions. She taught Freshmen Writing at Boston College, tutored at BC’s Connors Family Learning Center, and has taught algebra, geometry, and calculus at St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull, CT.

    Mr. Atkins has been a faculty member at Catholic Memorial School since 2000. Mr. Atkins served as a writing instructor and adjunct professor at Dean College prior to his arrival at CM. While at CM, he was one of 25 teachers selected from across the country to participate in The Walden Woods Project's "Approaching Walden," a summer institute for high school educators and graduate students that focuses on the literary and environmental contributions of Henry David Thoreau. He has also been a moderator for the Students Against Destructive Decisions group at CM. During his undergraduate studies at St. Michael’s College, he graduated Magna Cum Laude as an English Honors Scholar.

    Ms. Eberly has coached the CM middle school speech team and overseen all five CM middle school hockey teams. She also coordinates the middle school Café LA series, during which she teaches students the basic skills needed for public speaking.Outside of CM, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Catholic Educators Collaborative at Stonehill College. She has two sons who both graduated from CM: Danny ’99 and Douglas ’05.

    Mr. Edmund McCarthy teaches English in the middle and upper school at Catholic Memorial.
    He spent the last twenty years teaching in Christian schools, serving as an English Department Chair, Writing Program Director, and coach of three sports. Mr. McCarthy studied pure mathematics and English literature as an undergraduate student, and he holds graduate degrees from The University of Massachusetts, The Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College, Johns Hopkins University, and from the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. The grandson of a Catholic school English teacher in County Kerry, Ireland, Mr. McCarthy hopes to encourage all students to follow the path of Edmund Rice.

    Ms. Maura Messinger graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English and humanities from Providence College. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Massachusetts. Over her career, she has worked at Milton High School, Boston Latin, and the Dean Luce School. Most recently, she has coordinated Religious Education for St. Gerard Majella parish. At CM, she teaches English and theology.

    Ms. Porter is a lifelong editor who previously worked at the American publishing company Simon and Schuster as a senior editor. She spent time as a freelance editor before dedicating herself to teaching English. In 2007, she arrived at CM and has since moderated the school’s poetry and writing clubs. Ms. Porter is a cross country coach and a member of CM's Scholars Council.

    Mr. Rufo studied abroad at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies at the University of International Business and Economics during his undergraduate studies at Boston College. He taught at Austin Preparatory School and Dedham High School before arriving at CM. He was also the former middle school wrestling coach at the Park School. At CM, he has coached wrestling and golf.
