A Word From Donahue

Families –

Though it was a short week, the buildings and fields here on Baker Street exhibited a real sense of energy and vibrancy. Once again, we had both the Red and the Silver teams present on Wednesday as the Silver boys took part in their Campus Ministry Retreat, while the Red boys continued their academic pursuits in Donahue Hall.

Wednesday was additionally special as our entire school was treated to a most amazing, virtual visit from Mr. Steven Pemberton, the author CM's summer read, A Chance in the World.

Thursday's professional development day was dedicated to next steps as we plan our curricula for May Term 2021. Faculty continued their expert work as they continued to build content and skill specific instruction into the classes that will take the boys fully in-person through the end of the school year. And on Thursday afternoon, it was great fun to watch the full middle school football team take the practice field under the tutelage of our wonderful faculty coaches.

Watching this group work and train together was such as pleasure particularly considering that good number of the boys had never lined up for a snap prior to this current season. The camaraderie and the risk-taking on display affirmed the core tenants of what it means to be a CM Knight.

It is our sincere hope that you and your families enjoyed a wonderful and blessed Easter! Take great care and as always, thank you for your partnership, your patience, and your care.
