The Heart and Soul of CM

The Heart and the Soul

Campus Ministry is the spiritual heart of Catholic Memorial, inviting students to deepen their relationship with God, build authentic brotherhood, and live lives rooted in faith and service. Throughout the year, students gather regularly for all-school Masses and prayer services, while optional weekly chapel Masses, Eucharistic Adoration, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation provide additional opportunities for prayer and reflection. Students in every grade participate in retreats that foster spiritual growth, strengthen community, and encourage them to reflect on their relationship with God, themselves, and others.

Guided by the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers, Campus Ministry challenges every Knight to become a man of faith, compassion, and action. Together, these experiences help form graduates who are prepared not only for college, but for lives of purpose, leadership, and service.

Throughout each of our programs, our boys are empowered to open their hearts to the presence of God in their lives and in their relationships. Inspired by the Christ-like example of Blessed Edmund Rice, we ask them to respond to God’s love and together, along with Edmund Rice Christian Brothers schools throughout the world, to pray: Live, Jesus, in our hearts forever!

Student Service

At Catholic Memorial, service is an integral part of the high school experience. Every student is expected to perform acts of service throughout the year and ends their CM experience with a Senior Service Capstone.

Service activities include weekly visits to Rose's Bounty in West Roxbury, the Thanksgiving Food Drive, the annual Making Strides Against Bread Cancer Walk, and the BERSI immersion mission to Peru. You can read more about service at CM here.
