Kevin Durazo has spent 11 years at CM as a member of Campus Ministry, our middle school vice principal, and high school vice principal.
Catholic Memorial is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Kevin Durazo as the next Principal of Catholic Memorial, effective July 1, 2026.
This appointment follows a rigorous and thoughtful search to find the person who personifies the heart and faithful soul to serve in this critical role. We were blessed with an exceptional pool of candidates—men and women of the highest measure in educational leadership.
Across all groups, the clarity and alignment were striking. Our community called for a principal who has the heart for our boys and the heartbeat for this incredible school. A principal who is authentically present, marked by an openness and commitment to the CM family. Such qualities are the hallmarks of what makes this institution stand alone. A leader who is grounded in deep faith, family values, and who draws others closer to Christ. A leader with an unwavering duty to preserving our mission, an educator and teacher of the heart, and someone who knows every boy and their personal story, placing relationships and presence above all else.
These are the qualities evident in Kevin Durazo, who personifies what a CM educator and leader should be.
With over 11 years at Catholic Memorial, Kevin has served as Vice Principal of the Middle School, Director of Campus Ministry, and is currently Vice Principal for Grades 9-12 and Vice Principal of Mission. Throughout, he has demonstrated not only impeccable leadership, but a profound love for this school—our mission, its people and especially our boys. His passion for forming young men of faith and character is on full display each and every day.
We are delighted that Kevin has accepted this role and are grateful for his vocation and for the opportunity to partner with him in this important and privileged work.
