Director of Institutional Advancement
As the Director of Institutional Advancement, Tonya Kalmes oversees all development and donor relations for Catholic Memorial. Her career in educational advancement spans over 18 years.
Before joining the CM community, Tonya was the Reunion Manager and Associate Director of Annual Giving at the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts. Prior to that, Tonya spent 14 years at the Kent School in Kent, Connecticut, as the Engagement and Events Manager, Reunion Manager, and Associate Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Initiatives.
In addition to building and maintaining donor relations, Tonya focuses on increasing community engagement and growing the School’s endowment through planned giving and foundation support. Professionally, Tonya is a member of Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE), the Association of Catholic Admissions and Advancement Professionals (ACAAP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and Boston Chapter of Women in Development (WID).
Tonya is a graduate of Purchase College in Purchase, New York (SUNY), and has received certifications from the CASE Summer Institute in Educational Training at Dartmouth University, CASE Volunteer Engagement Workshop at the University of Rhode Island, and Independent School Volunteer Engagement Workshop at the Berkshire School.
