Concussions: The Future of Football


Over the past decade, the sport of football has changed immensely. New studies have shown the damage that playing football can have on an individual, and society has responded. Despite being under fire, the game of football is simply too big to fail, and the NFL is constantly making changes to keep the sport “America’s game.” In my capstone project, I researched and analyzed the recent changes the NFL has made in the way the game is played, the equipment used, and medical technology. These changes have proven to be effective in making the game safer and preserving it for the future. I also did research and proposed what I believe will happen to the game in the future regarding its participation, safety, and ratings.
