What is the tuition at Catholic Memorial?

The tuition for the 2018-19 school year is $20,700. The Board of Directors determines the next school years’ tuition in January 2019.

Catholic Memorial offers both scholarships and financial aid to families. For the 2018–19 school year, 68% of the families are receiving financial assistance.

For the 2017-18 school year, 19% of Catholic Memorial students are receiving a merit or endowed scholarship.

Can a student receive both a scholarship and a financial aid award?

In a few cases, a student can receive a merit scholarship and financial aid if there is a financial need.

How much aid is awarded per student?

The amount awarded per student depends on meeting the criteria for the scholarships and financial need. There is not a set amount awarded to students.

Do I need to apply for a merit scholarship?

Families do not need to apply for a merit scholarship. The CM Admissions Committee selects students based on the scholarship requirements.

Is the high school merit scholarship awarded for all four years?

The merit scholarship is renewable for all four years contingent on the student’s grades satisfying the academic requirements.

Is the middle school merit scholarship awarded for the two years?

The merit scholarship is renewable in eighth grade contingent on the student’s grades satisfying the academic requirements.

What if I do not have access to a computer?


The Financial Aid Office will have workshops with computers to help families complete the application.The workshop information will be posted on CM’s website.

Families must apply for financial aid each year. Each application is reviewed annually and awards are based on meeting the criteria.

The endowed scholarships are awarded based on donor’s specific requirements and financial need.

When and how will I be notified that my son will receive an endowed scholarship?

Applicants will be notified with their admission decision.

Do I need to apply for financial aid?

Families need to apply for financial aid through a web-based application. CM uses SmartAid to compile and verify family information.

How do I apply for financial aid?

What are the criteria for receiving financial aid?

The CM financial aid committee awards financial aid based on:
  • Financial need
  • Academic promise and good character
  • Potential of the student to contribute to the CM community

When and how will I be notified that my son will receive financial aid?

Financial awards are granted on February 8, 2018, for high school and February 20, 2018, for middle school.Families will be notified by letter or email. Financial aid awards will not be included in acceptance notifications.

Can a current family apply for financial aid if they have not applied before?

Families can apply for financial aid at any point in their son’s enrollment at CM. The application must be submitted by the determined deadline.
