Registration for Summer School:  

          Thursday, June 26th, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

          Friday, June 27th, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

                                           (at Catholic Memorial)

 

Summer School Dates:    

                                    Monday – Friday

                                    June 30th through July 31st

                                    Period 1:  8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.

                                    Period 2:  10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

                                    (No Classes July 3rd and 4th) 

 

Tuition & Books:    $400.00 per course / $20.00 Book fee per course

                                    (Payable by check on day of registration) 

 

Registration Fee:    No registration fee for CM students

                                    $25.00 non-refundable registration fee for

Enrichment Course Descriptions

A.P. Prep: A Critical Examination of Contemporary History

This is an intensive course that provides an essential foundation for all students preparing for an Advanced Placement course in U.S. History. Through intensive reading, close examination of primary documents, lectures and discussion, students will study the critical period between 1960 and 2007. This course is taught by Mr. Vincent Bradley, a member of the Catholic Memorial History Department and an AP Grader for the U.S. History Exam.



 

SAT Prep: Critical Reading Skills for High School and College

The goal of this course is to empower students with the skills necessary to read, within weeks, at a level of 300 – 500 WPM+, while at the same time achieving a consistently high degree of comprehension. In addition, students will be taught advanced critical reading and test-taking strategies, and advanced scanning skills. Finally, key strategies for successfully mastering the sentence completion and writing skills components of the PSAT’s and SAT’s will be covered. This course is conducted by Mr. Douglas Michaud of Modern Educational Systems.
