Wrestling

The CM Wrestling team began interscholastic competition in 1967 under the coaching of Mr. Phillips, who coached the team until 1975.  Ed Lenox led the team through 1977, when Tom Walsh took over.  Walsh coached until 1982.  Mike Testa was the head coach of the team from 1982 until 1989 when Coach Bligh took over.  In 1992 CM’s longest serving wrestling coach, Coach Durham, started his decade of coaching, and Coach Bill Hahn has led the team since 2003. 

Since 1992, twenty-one state sectional champions have come out of the wrestling program.  State Sectional Champions include:

Craig Carpenter is the only CM wrestler to earn a New England Championship.  He did so after earning the All-State championship in 2007.
