Rich Broderick '11 placed 1st in the 215lb weight class. Wrestling into the second day were Brian Ferrara '13 in 103 lb class and Joe Kain '13 in the 152 lb class, both finishing in the top 12.

In the quad-meet with Brockton, Plymouth South and Whitman-Hanson, Ricardo Vieux '11 and Cam Carpenter '12 had three wins apiece.

Ricardo Vieux '11, Emmit Tkach '12, and Rich Broderick '11 all went 3-0 on the day. Broderick finished the season 30-0 and the team finished 11-14, second in the Catholic Conference.

Individual finishers Rich Broderick '11 (1st at 215 lbs.) * Ricardo Vieux '11 (2nd at130lbs) * Joe Kain '11 (3rd at 152 lbs.) * PJ Ishige '12 (3rd at 119 lbs.) * Cam Carpenter '12 (4th at 171 lbs.) * Brian Ferrara '14 (5th at 103) * Joe Tedesco '12 (5th at 125 lbs.) * John Schneider '12 (5th in the heavyweight) * Ryan Dumont '11 (6th at 135 lbs.), Emmit Tkach '11 (6th at 189 lbs.) and Paul Curran '13 (6th at 112 lbs).
SAT FEB 19 MIAA DIVISION II STATE TOURNAMENT A (MARLBOROUGH HS)
Seniors Ricardo Vieux, Rich Broderick and Joe Kain earned top finishes. Vieux lost a close, hard-fought state final against Needham's top 130-lb. wrestler on Saturday night, but will have a chance for another title this weekend. Broderick, who finished fifth in the 215-lb. division, will face the Division I runner-up in his first bout. And Kain, who finished 6th on Saturday in the 152-lb. division, will face the sixth place D-3 finisher in his first matchup.
SAT FEB 26 MIAA All-STATE TOURNAMENT A (SALEM HIGH)
Ricardo Vieux '11 came in 5th place, earning a berth at All-New Englands. Rich Broderick '11 and Joe Kain '11 also competed, but lost in close matches in the opening rounds.
SAT MARCH 5 ALL NEW ENGLAND TOURNAMENT A (HILL HOUSE HIGH, NEW HAVEN CT)
Ricardo Vieux '11 earned his 100th career win on Friday night with an 8-2 victory over New Hampshire's Division III champion. He also defeated the D-3 champ from Vermont to make it to Saturday, where he fell in a close match to Maine's D-1 State Champ. With 101 career wins, Vieux ties his brother Demetry '09.
