Postseason update: 3/12/10 Nike Indoor Track National Championships
CM track captain Ed Colvin '10 ended a long postseason run on his own Friday night at the Reggie Lewis Center. Competing in the 5000-meter event at the Nike Indoor Track National Championships, Colvin ran to a 13th-place finish with a time of 15:28.
Postseason update: 3/14/10 MIAA Division 1A Finals v. Hingham L 1-0
Though the Knights lost, 1-0, in the end, their extraordinary effort earned them the praise of Coach Bill Hanson and the entire CM community. "We have nothing to be ashamed of," Hanson said after the game. "We played hard and what I feel was exceptionally well against a really hard team to play against.”
3/10/10 MIAA Division 1A Semifinals: v Austin Prep W 1-0
Coach Hanson and the Knights earned the opportunity to compete for their eighteenth state title and fourteenth Super-8 championship after a win over Austin Prep, 1-0, on March 10. Tommy Knox '11 was superb in goal, stopping 27 shots. Brian Besinger '10 scored CM's only goal in the first period.
Postseason update: 3/7/10 MIAA Division 1A Bracket I, Game 3: Hockey v. Malden Catholic L 6-5 (OT)
Scoring for CM in Sunday's game were Troy Starrett '10, Brian Besinger '10, Dan O'Hear '11, and David Lazaro '12. Lazaro also had an assist, as did Nick Salvaggio '10, Harrison Connelly '12, Matt Dalton '10, Vin Repucci '10, and Derek Colucci '10. Tommy Knox '11 had 29 saves in net, including a heroic stop on a penalty shot in the third period.
Postseason update: 3/5/10 New England Indoor Track Championships (Reggie Lewis Ctr.)
Ed Colvin '10 ran the best 2-mile time of his career (9:28.32) to earn an 8th place finish. Sophomore Donovan Henry ran the 7th-fastest time in New England in the 300-meter race (36.13 seconds).
Postseason update: 3/3/10 MSTCA Pentathalon (Reggie Lewis Ctr.)
At the annual MSTCA State Pentathalon, Ryan Malone '11 competed for CM. The individual pentathalon consists of long jump, high jump, shotput, hurdles, and 1000-meter run. As a junior, he finished in the top 50 in the state.

Postseason update: Congratulations to Coach Denis Tobin and the CM Basketball team, who earned a 7th seed in the MIAA Division 1 tournament after a 15-5 regular season. After defeating West Roxbury, the team advanced to the quarterfinals, where they vied with the #2-seed Newton North for forty-eight solid minutes on their home turf. The Knights, who earned the state title in 2008, ended their season with a 71-55 loss after a remarkable twelve-game win-streak.
Postseason update: #1-seeded CM Hockey won its first Bracket 1 game in the MIAA Division 1A Super-8 tournament at Tsongas Arena on 2/27 by defeating Winchester, 5-1. Scoring for CM: Brian Besinger '10, Vinny Repucci '10, Dan O'Hear '11, T.J. O'Brien '10, and Marc Hetnik '11. O'Brien, Repucci, Besinger, Matt Dalton '10 and Chris Stathopoulos '10 had assists. In goal, Tommy Knox '11 had 16 saves.
Postseason update: Ed Colvin '10 ran a personal best (9 minutes, 31.63 seconds) in the 2-mile event at the MIAA All-State Indoor Track Championships, held at the Reggie Lewis Center on February 26. The performance earned Colvin a spot at the New England Championships. Donovan Henry '12 recorded the fastest time for an underclassmen in the state in the 300-meter dash, earning 7th place with a time of 36.44.
Postseason update: CM Basketball will visit Newton North on 2/27 at 7pm in the D-1 South tournament quarterfinals. CM Hockey will face Winchester at 2:15pm on 2/27 at Lowell's Tsongas Arena in the Division 1A Super-8 tournament opening round.
Postseason update (Track): Ed Colvin '10 earned a 4th place finish in the state at the MIAA Division II Indoor Track Championships on 2/20 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Donovan Henry '12 earned a 5th place finish in the 300-meter dash. The two will compete at All-States on 2/26.
Postseason update (Swimming): The relay team of John Mackie '10, Matthew Farrell '11, Dom Montalbano '11 and Ryan Clifford '11 earned a 12th place finish in the 200-yd. freestyle relay and 19th place in the 200-yd. medley relay at the MIAA Division 1 Swimming and Diving Championships held at Harvard on 2/19.
Postseason update (Hockey): For the fifth consecutive year, CM has earned a #1-seed in the Division 1A "Super 8" tournament. They will open postseason play on 2/27 at Tsongas Arena in Lowell by playing the winner of the Winchester/Central Catholic game on 2/22.
Postseason update (Basketball): #7-seed CM will host West Roxbury on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7pm in the first round of the South sectional bracket.
Varsity Swimming 2/14/10 South Sectionals Away (MIT Pool)
Ryan Clifford '11, John Mackie '10, Dominic Montalbano '11 and Matthew Farrell '11 finished 9th in the 200-yd freestyle relay and 10th in the medley relay. Farrell placed 34th in the individual medley, Montalbano 19th in the 100-yd butterfly, and Clifford 19th and Mackie 26th in the 50-yd freestyle event. The four will compete in relays at Harvard on 2/19.
Varsity Wrestling 2/13/10 Metro Sectionals
Ricardo Vieux '11 won first place (119-lbs.). Others placing included Rich Broderick '11 (2nd, 189-lbs.), P.J. Ishige '11 (3rd place, 112-lbs.), Joe Warren '10 (3rd place, 135-lbs.) and Francis Hawley (5th place, 160-lbs.). All qualified for states with these performances.

CM got two in the first period. Jack Kilty from Justin Ryder and John Allaire from Michael Cusato. In the second frame, it was Kilty from Ryder again and Dylan Ryan from Connor Meagher and J.J. Barrett. The Frosh blew the game open in the third. Jack O'Hear from Dennis Medeiros, Matt Wessenberg from Cusato and Ryder, and then Kilty completed his hat trick from O'Hear and Billy Byrne to make the final score 7-0. Shane Starrett pitched the shutout for the Knights.

Two goals by Connor Meagher, both assisted by Tom Barrett and Jack O'Hear, had the game tied early in the third period. St. Seb's then exploded for three goals in about two minutes. Michael Cusato scored from Meagher and J.J. Barrett to bring the Knights to within 5-3, but they could get no closer. Sean Donovan was between the pipes for CM.

Middle School Hockey 1/16/10 Saint Sebastians Country Day Sch Away L 9-8
In an offensive affair CM lost a tough one to St. Sebastians giving up a goal with just under three minutes to play in the third period. Kevin Bletzer ’14 lead the Knights with 3 goals and Beau Starrett ’14 got the assist on 4 goals. Also contributing were defenseman Colm Sheehan ’14 (3 assist); Patrick O’Leary ‘15 (1 assist); and Derek Butler ’14 (1 goal). For the forwards, it was Gino LaRossa ’14 (1 goal, 1 assist); John Fitzgerald ’14 (1 goal, 2 assist); and Anthony Panaggio (1 goal).

In the second period Ryan Curley '11 scored, assisted by Kevin McCarthy '11. During that same period, Chris Stathopoulos '11 scored, assisted by defenseman Leo Stapleton '11. In the third period, Stathopoulas lit the lamp again, unassisted. Later in the third, John Harrison '12 put one past the Holy Angels goaltender, assisted by linemates Jeff Rosata '12 and Sean Vitello '11. CM outshot AHA, 28 to 14.

MS Hockey: 1/13/10 *B.C. High Away W 1-0
Backed by goalie Sean Donvan ’14 in his second shutout of the season, the Knights grabbed a 1-0 victory over conference rival BC High on Wednesday night. Without a doubt it was the best all-around game the team has had all year shutting down a very powerful and skilled BC High team. The lone goal came with just under 4 minutes to play in the third period when defenseman Derek Butler ’14 ripped a slap shot from the point and Colm Sheehan ’14 was there to tip it over to teammate Beau Starrett ’14, who snuck it in for the score.
JV Hockey: 1/13/10 Saint Sebastians Country Day Sch Away W 6-3
CM offensive attack of 43 shots to the St. Sebs' 13 shots was to much for the Arrows to handle. Brian Picarello '11 and Ryan Curley '11 each led the offense with one goal and two assists each. The CM defense also contributed with one assist each by Ryan Sullivan '12 and John O'Neil '12 and two by Christian Durham '11.
Freshman Hockey: 1/10/10 Bishop Hendricken High School L 3-2 (OT)
CM goals by Tom Barrett and Jack Kilty had the game tied at the end of regulation time, but Hendicken scored with about two minutes gone in the extra frame. John Allaire had two assists for the Knights and Shane Starrett played well in the CM net.
MS Hockey: 1/9/10 Belmont Hill School Away W 9-2
It was a full team effort in this game as the Knights took down a good Belmont Hill team 9-2. The forwards and the defenses split the scoring in this one with the forwards netting 5 and the defense right behind with 4. Goals were scored by forwards John Guerreo '14, Beau Starrett '14, Kevin Bletzer '14, Gino LaRossa '14, and Anthony Panaggio '15, and defenseman Justin Nee '14, Colm Sheehan '14, Patrick O'Leary '15, and Derek Butler '14. Sean Donvan '14 and Justin Deveaux '14 both played great between the pipes.

The Defense and Goaltender Sean Donvan '14 were the stars in this game shutting down a quality Roxbury Latin team for the shutout. Beau Starrett '14 and Michael Stathopouls '14 both had 2 goals each and Kevin Bletzer '14 added a goal and assist and John Guerreo '14 also contributed with 2 assist in the game.
Freshman Hockey: 1/6/10 Saint Sebastians Country Day Away W 4-0
The Knights got goals from Michael Cusato (assisted by Connor Meagher), Meagher (assisted by Kevin Fitzgerald and Cusato), Jack Kilty (assisted by Jack O'Hear) and Kilty (assisted by Tom Barrett) to build the 4-0 lead. The defense of Dennis Medeiro, Billy Byrne, John Allaire and Justin Ryder was strong in front of Shane Starrett in the CM net. Keeper Justin Devieux came in partway through the 3rd period to finish off the shutout.
MS Hockey: 1/6/10 Thayer Academy (at Canton Sportsplex) Away W 4-3 (SO)
The middle school played an outstanding game on both ends of the ice, with regulation ending in a 3-3 tie. Kevin Bletzer '14 scored one goal and an assist in regulation. Anthony Panaggio '15 and Beau Starrett '14 also scored one goal each. Goalie Sean Donovan '14 had an outstanding performance in the net. After a scoreless sudden death overtime, Bletzer won the game by scoring the only goal in the shootout as goalie Sean Donovan shut-out three shooters from Thayer.

Another outstanding performance by goalie Marty Josephs '11. Goal and assist by both Nick Barker '11 and Tom Stanton '12. Linemate John Mildner '11 also got 2 assists. Sean Vitello '11 posted a goal assisted by defenseman Leo Stapleton '11.
Varsity Track: 1/2/10 Donovan Henry '12 broke a meet record in the 300-meter dash at the Auerbach Inivtational Meet, earning first place by 1/100th of a second. Goalie Marty Josephs '11 had an outstanding night in the net stopping 14 shots. Brian Picarello '11 lit the green light twice and Kevin McCarthy '11 scored once and earned an assist. The highlight of the game was an unselfish pass by Ryan Curley '11 as he froze the CC goalie and laid a pass to Picarello for the goal.

The Knights scored on their first two shots and never looked back. Tom Barrett and Jack O'Hear each had two goals and two assists. Michael Cusato and Connor Meagher each had a goal and an assist. Dylan Ryan scored his first of the season with an assist to Billy Campbell (his first point of the season). Sean Donovan played the first two periods and only gave up one goal. Justin Devieux made his season debut and played a clean third period.

A strong CM defense lead by Goalie Jake Uminski '11 (18 saves) and defensmen Pat Carney '11, Christian Durham '11, Leo Stapleton '11 and John Delano '12 were able to hold off BC High by blocking 7 out of 28 shots on net. Scoring for CM: Tom Stanton '12 and Ryan Curley '11.

The Hawks were up 1-0 going into the 3rd period when Jack O'Hear tied the score from Tom Barrett and Justin Ryder. Xaverian won the game with about 1:30 left on a breakaway goal. Sean Donovan was in the CM net.

Trailing 4-1 after 20 minutes of play, the Knights never quit and fought back to win. Goals by John Harrison '12, Sean Vitello '11, Brian Picarello '11, Tom Stanton '12, Nick Barker '12 and the second game-winner of the season for Ryan Curley '12. Goalie Marty Josephs '11 stopped 22 shots.
Freshman Hockey: 12/28/09 *St. John's Prep School (at West Roxbury) Home L 3-1
St. John's held a 1-0 lead after 1 period of play. The Knights tied it up on a goal by Michael Cusato from J.J. Barrett early in the second frame. However, the Prep put two past Sean Donovan, who played well in his second game in the CM net, before the period was over. A scoreless third then followed to leave the final score 3-1.

CM battled for three full periods taking 33 shots on the Hawks but came up short with only one goal by John Mildner '11 assisted by Tom Stanton '12 and Nick Barker '11. CM netminder Shane Starrett '13 stopped 23 shots.

CM got on the board first with a shorthanded goal by Jack Kilty from Jack O'Hear and John Allaire, Cargigan came back to tie it 1-1 before the end of period number one. In the second frame, Cardigan kept the pressure on. Shane Starrett was great in the CM net, but could not prevent the two goals that made the score 3-1 going into the third period. CM's offense, led by Kilty, O'Hear, Tom Barrett, J.J. Barrett, Michael Cusato and Connor Meagher stormed the Cardigan zone but could not get any closer.
Frosh Hockey: 12/18/09 Saint Sebastians Country Day Sch (Belmont HIll Holiday Tournament) Away W 3-2
In the Belmont Hill Tourney semifinal matchup, St. Seb's scored first, but Tom Barrett tied it before the end of the first period. CM took at 2-1 lead on a goal by Jack Kilty from Tom Barrett early in the second period. The Knights then went up 3-1 on a goal by Michael Cusato from J.J. Barrett and Connor Meagher. In the third period, St. Seb's made it 3-2. However, Shane Starrett and the CM defense shut the door to secure the victory.

CM outshot the Prep 41 to 18. Goals were scored by Joe Barton '12, Jonathan Huether '11, Kevin McCarthy '11, Ryan Curley '11 and Brian Picarello. The team also got a great effort out of goalie Jake Uminski '11.
MS Hockey: 12/12/09 Saint Sebastians Country Day Sch(at Boston University) Home L 3-2
Goalie Sean Donovan 14' stopped over 40 shots from a very powerful St. Seb's offense. Colin Sheehan '14 tipped in a blast from point man Zack Stueve '14, while Beau Starrett '14 also scored.
Frosh Hockey: 12/12/09 Belmont Hill School Away L 4-3
Goalie Shane Starrett was terrific in the CM net as he faced nearly forty shots. The Knights led 2-1 after the first period on goals by Tom Barrett from Jack O'Hair and Jack Kilty , and by John Allaire from Kilty and Ryan Martin. Belmont Hill tied the game at 2 in the second period and took a 4-2 lead with two quick third period scores. Barrett got one back to bring CM to within 4-3, but that is how it ended.
Winter 2008-2009
Posted 3/15/09: CM Hockey won its 13th Division 1A "Super-8" Championship title against Burlington Sunday night, 5-1. The team defeated Malden Catholic in the crossover bracket of the tournament on March 11th, 6-4, at Tsongas Arena in Lowell. Tommy Knox '11 had 36 saves in goal and T.J. O'Brien '10 earned a hat trick with a goal each period--assisted by Troy Starrett '10 in the first, unassisted in the 2nd, and into an empty net in the 3rd. Billy Carey, Dan Cornell, and Frankie Tierney '09 all added goals in the Knights' 6-4 game. Watch game highlights here.
Posted 3/8/09: The #8-seed CM Basketball team fell to #7-seed Milton on March 7th in the South Sectional Finals of the State Tournament, 86-68. Congratulations to the team on a great postseason which included wins over O'Bryant, Bishop Feehan and Walpole.
Posted 3/8/09: Congratulations to State Champion Josh Boyd '09, who finished in the top 5 at the 2009 New England Wrestling Championships at Hillhouse High School in New Haven, CT on March 6. Boyd had previously won 2nd-place at the All-State meet on February 28th. At that meet, held at Salem High School, Boyd lost a close final bout (3-2) to Rockland senior Petros Hologitas. Joshua Rosario '09 also competed at All-States, going 1-2 in early rounds.
Posted 3/5/09: Vin Repucci '10, Shane Walsh '10 and captain Garrett Noonan '09 scored in a thrilling 3-1 shootout to give CM's Hockey team the overtime win over Central Catholic, 3-2, in their second Super-8 bracket matchup on 3/4. In regulation, Dan Cornell '09 and David Lazaro '12 scored for the Knights and Tommy Knox '11 was solid in net. The hockey team is 1-1 in the postseason and faces Hingham in the last bracket round of Super-8 play on March 7.
Posted 3/3/09: Jeff Tagger '09 scored 22 and Al Harris '09 added 21 points as CM Basketball defeated Walpole, 80-75, in the Division II South Sectional semi-final matchup at Milton High School on 3/3. The team will face the winner of Franklin/Milton in the South Sectional finals on Saturday, March 7th at UMass-Boston.
Posted 3/1/09: The CM Hockey team, the top seed in the Division 1A "Super-8" Tournament for the 6th consecutive year, fell to Winchester in the opening round of Super-8 play on Sunday afternoon, 4-2. Shane Walsh '10 and Frank Tierney '09 scored for the Knights; keeper Tommy Knox '11 had 14 saves. Next for the team is #5-seed Central Catholic on 3/4 at 8pm.
Posted 3/1/09: Congratulations to Josh Boyd '09, who came in 2nd place in the 215-lb. class at the MIAA All-State Championships, held 2/27 and 2/28 at Salem High School. With this outstanding finish, Boyd will advance to New Englands next week. Joshua Rosario '09 also competed in All-States, going 1-2 in the early rounds.
Posted 2/28/09: CM Track competed in the All-State Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center on 2/27. Nahed Lakkis '09 recorded a personal best in the 1000-meter event (2:33.73), coming in 9th place overall. Ed Colvin '10 came in 8th place in the 2-mile event (9:39.63).
Posted 2/28/09: CM Basketball advanced to the semifinals of the south bracket in the Division II Championship on Friday night with an upset over 1st-seeded Bishop Feehan, 88-70. They now face Walpole on March 3rd at 7pm. The game will be played at Milton.
Posted 2/26/09: In their first game of the State Tournament, CM Basketball held off an extremely talented O’Bryant team in front of an enthusiastic CM crowd. Al Harris '09 led the way with 23 points--in doing so he became the 6th player in school history to surpass the one-thousand point mark. Jeff Tagger '09 showed his poise in the closing minutes as he steered the offense into the second round of the playoffs. Other key performances were made by Dan Brooks '10, Kyle Lawrence '10, and Bo Jennings '09. The Knights now face the number one seed in Bishop Feehan on the road on 2/27. Posted 2/23/09: The CM Swim Team's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Sean Farrell '09, John Mackie '10, Ryan Clifford '11 and Matt Farrell '11 came in 9th place in the Division II State Swimming Championships on February 21. CM swimmers (including James Myers '09) also qualified and competed at the state meet in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard breaststroke events.
Posted 2/23/09: CM Track brought home two medals from the Division II State Meet at the Reggie Lewis Center on February 22nd. Nahed Lakkis '09 came in 2nd place in the 1000-meter event (2:36.85), while Ed Colvin '10 came in 3rd place in the 2-mile event (9:36:89). Both times were personal bests for the runners, who head to All-States on 2/27. Ryan Pai '09 also competed in the meet, coming in 12th (out of 23) in the 55-meter hurdle event with a time of 8.32 seconds.

Posted 2/22/09: CM's hockey team received a number one seed in the Division 1A "Super-8" tournament, which kicks off Sunday, March 1 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. They will face the winner of the play-in game (Winchester/Springfield Cathedral) in the first of three games in the Super-8 tournament. Game times TBA.
Posted 2/21/09: CM wrestler Josh Boyd '09 earned a state championship title by defeating Beverly's Tom Cacciola in the Division II State Championship held at North Andover High School on February 21. Also earning honors at the state meet was Josh Rosario '09, who came in 6th place in his division. Both move on to the All-State meet on 2/28 at Salem High School.

Posted 2/16/09: CM Wrestling competed at Sectionals on February 14th with these results: Josh Boyd '09 (1st place), Demetry Vieux '09 (2nd), Ricardo Vieux '12 (2nd) Josh Rosario '09 (3rd), Giovanni Lopez '09 (4th) Matt Campo '09 (5th), and Tom Coughlin '10 (6th). Boyd, Rosario, Lopez, the Vieux brothers and Campo (alternate) head to States on February 20th at North Andover High School.
Posted 2/16/09: CM Basketball defeated Woburn, 75-62 on 2/15. Kyle Lawrence '10 set the tone defensively for CM, hitting the floor several times and menacingly picking the pockets of Woburn point guards all night. Offensively, Dan Brooks '10 and Al Harris(C) '09 combined for 38 points, scoring 19 respectively in a balanced attack by the Knights. The Knights now look towards the last game of the regular season against a hungry Franklin team that CM knocked out of the playoffs last season.
Posted 2/15/09: The CM Swim Team finished in 15th place at the Central/South Sectional meet, scoring a record 32 points. The 200 Medley Relay team finished 10th, and the 200 Free Relay team took 7th place. Captains Sean Farrell '09, James Myers '09, and John Mackie '10 as well as Ryan Clifford '11 and Matt Farrell '11 participated in the relays.
Posted 2/13/09: CM Track competed in the Tri-County League Championship Meet on 2/12. Nahed Lakkis '09 recorded a personal best in his third-place finish in the 1000-meter event (2:38:11); Ed Colvin '10 came in 2nd in the 2-mile event (9:42); Lance Murray came in 6th in the long jump. In the freshman/sophomore events, James Schmidlein '11 came in 3rd place in the 2-mile event.

The medley team (James Myers '09, John Mackie '10, Sean Farrell '09 and Matt Farrell '11) placed 5th; the 200-yd freestyle relay team (Sean Farrell, Matt Farrell, Ryan Clifford '11, John Mackie) placed 4th; and the 400-yd freestyle relay team (James Myers, Ryan Clifford, Christian Mowles '11, Matt Farrell) placed 9th. Individual highlights: Matt Farrell placed 8th in the individual medley; Sean Farrell placed 7th in the 50-yd freestyle & 10th in the 100-yd freestyle; James Myers placed 7th in the 500-yd freestyle & 8th in the 100 yd backstroke; and John Mackie placed 5th in the 100-yd breaststroke.

Posted 1/22/09: CM Indoor Track's Ed Colvin '10 recorded a state-meet qualifying time of 9:38 in the 2-mile event, a personal best for him, at the meet versus BC High on 1/20. Nahed Lakkis '09 won both the mile event and the 1,000-meter event. The team will compete in the Division II State Relays this Sunday.
Posted 1/20/09: CM Wrestling defeated Boston Latin School and Lexington High School on 1/16. In defeating Boston Latin, the meet came down to Juan Ovalles '13 in the 103-lb. class after Matt Campo '09, Josh Boyd '09, and Josh Rosario '09 won their matchups. Ovalles won to give the team the victory.
Posted 1/13/09: CM Wrestling competed in the Belmont Tournament on January 10. Senior captain Josh Boyd '09 placed first in the 215-lb. division and Demetry Vieux '10 placed 1st in the 130-lb. division. Other top wrestlers were Joe Warren '10 (3rd place, 135-lb.), Joshua Rosario '09 (3rd place, 285-lb.), Ricardo Vieux '12 (4th place, 103-lb.) and Giovanni Lopez '09 (4th place, 119-lb.).
Posted 1/11/09: CM Hockey held off a feisty Xaverian squad which led twice in the game before Garrett Noonan '09 and Billy Carey '09 fed Derek Colucci '10 for the go-ahead goal with 3:14 remaining in the third period. Troy Starrett '10 and Carey earned the first two goals, and T.J. O'Brien '10 scored on the empty net. In net, Ryan Hubbard '11 had 15 saves in goal.
Posted 12/16/08: CM Winter Track fell to Xaverian, 63-32, at the Reggie Lewis Center in its first dual meet. Sean Mahoney '09 and Tim McLaughlin '10 won 1st and 2nd place in the shot put, Chinedu Chukwu '10 won the 55-meter event, and Nahed Lakkis '09 won both the mile and the 1,000-meter events. "We had a lot of great performances at the beginning of the season today," said Coach Vin Catano.
Posted 12/15/08: CM Basketball opened its season strong with a win against Tiverton (RI). Al Harris '09 led the Knights with 22 points. Daniel Brooks '10 added 15 points.
Posted 12/14/08: CM Hockey began the season with a 6-3 win over Canton in a benefit game for Canton assistant coach Dennis Sholes and his family. The game raised over $5,000 for the cause. Scoring for the Knights were Bill Carey '09 (2), Garrett Noonan '09, Shane Walsh '10, Derek Colucci '10 and Ben Murphy '10.
Posted 12/13/08: The CM Wrestling team had a great start to its season, going 2-1 in its first Quad Match. The team lost to Josiah Quincy in a close dual 36-33, but came back strong to beat Cambridge 55-4 and Newton North 40-33. Giovanni Lopez '09, Demetry Vieux '10, Joe Warren '10, and Josh Boyd '09 all went undefeated for the day. The JV squad also had a great quad match, defeating over 60% of its over 50 opponents in the day. ~Coach Hahn
Posted 12/12/08: The CM Swim Team suffered a tough loss Friday to Natick. the night was not all bad as the medley relay of Sean Farrell '09, James Myers '09, John Mackie '09 and Matt Farrell '11came in first and qualified for States. Other first place finishes were Matt Farrell in the 200 IM, Sean Farrell in the 100 Fly and 50 Free, James Myers who qualified for States in the 100-Back and John Mackie who won the 100 Breaststroke. ~Coach Boyle
