Volunteer Opportunities
Through their work as ambassadors to the school, volunteers play a key role in helping CM achieve its goals and carry out its mission. Here are some of the ways alumni, parents and friends can become more involved with CM.
Class Agents
Class Agents promote the school's mission, its plans and long-range vision to fellow classmates and other alumni. Working with classmates, Class Agents help plan class reunions, raise funds for the school through the annual phonathons, and supply the Alumni Office with news about their classmates for the Alumni News section of CM Magazine. The Class Agents page provides further details. For more about the class agent program, click here.
Class Reunion Committee
CM classes celebrate reunions every five years. As a member of the class reunion committee, you will work with your Class Agents and the Development and Alumni Offices to coordinate the reunion, help locate classmates with lost addresses, and promote the reunion to ensure maximum attendance. This year, we will be celebrating reunions for all classes ending in 4 and 9.
Phonathons
Enjoy an evening with classmates and alumni by volunteering to make calls to fellow alumni in the fall or spring. The parents' phonathon is held during the first week of November. The evenings begin at 6:00 pm with food, drinks, training and some time for socializing. Volunteers receive a special CM gift, but, more importantly, you will make a real difference for the CM Annual Fund.
Regional Associations
In order to enhance our connections with alumni and friends beyond the Boston region, the Development Office is working to develop regional associations around the U.S. The idea is to bring CM to your part of the world. Regional associations would be composed of alumni, parents, grandparents and friends in a given geographic area. CM associations would facilitate new and continuing connections for members with the school and with each other. Programs may include social, cultural, educational and sporting events, and networking opportunities. Your energy and ideas are welcome!
