Financial Aid and Scholarships

Merit-based Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded upon admission to Catholic Memorial High School and Middle School. The CM admissions committee selects students for scholarship eligibility based upon their past academic performance and the results of the entrance exams. No applications are available for CM scholarships; instead, every application for admission is reviewed for scholarship potential.

CM High School scholarships are renewable for all four years, contingent on the student's grades satisfying the academic requirements of the scholarship. To be eligible for a high school scholarship, a candidate must take the Catholic Secondary Schools Entrance Exam in November or December.

CM Middle School scholarships are granted in seventh grade, and are renewable in eighth grade contingent on the student's grades satisfying the academic requirements of the scholarship. CM Middle School scholarships are valid for grades seven and eight only. Several high school scholarships are then awarded to high-achieving students as they enter grade nine.

Scholarships are funded primarily through the generous donations of the CM community, including alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for qualifying CM families. To qualify for financial aid, families must complete the financial aid forms that are first distributed at Open House in the fall, and are subsequently available in the Admissions Office and the Business Office.

Families may also apply online at the FACTS website. CM utilizes FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to verify and compile family information. A nominal fee is charged by FACTS for this service. Upon verification by FACTS, the CM Financial Aid Committee reviews the results of the applications.

In determining the allocation of CM's total financial aid budget, the Financial Aid Committee assesses the financial position of each applicant relative to the total population of CM families applying for financial aid, as well as the overall scholastic aptitude of the student. Financial Aid is funded primarily through the generous donations of the CM community, including alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends.
