Grade 9 Admissions Timeline

Early Fall

• Contact the Admissions Office (617-469-8019) to obtain an admissions packet and application.

Sunday, October 18

• The Catholic Memorial Experience and Open House, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

October – November

• Register for the Catholic High School Placement Test.

November 14 or December 12

• Take the Catholic High School Placement Test. Please note: Candidates may sit for the Catholic High School Test at any high school in the Archdiocese of Boston. Test scores may be sent to a maximum of five different high schools. Catholic Memorial is Code 13. The testing fee is $25.

October – December

• Complete the Catholic Memorial Application – Grade 9 applications are due December 18.

• A completed Grade 9 application should include:

• Student Application

• Parent Questionnaire

• Placement Test Scores

• School Report Form

• English Teacher Evaluation

• Personal Recommendation (Optional)

November 1 – December 31

• Apply for Financial Aid through FACTS (www.factstuitionaid.com). December 31 is the financial aid filing deadline for Grade 9 candidates.

November – January

• Visit Catholic Memorial through the “Knight for a Day” Program. All prospective students will be paired with a freshman to experience a day in the life of a CM student. To schedule a visit, call the Admissions Office at 617-469-8019.

February 1

• Grade 9 Decision Letters Mailed

February 10

• Class of 2014 Welcome Reception for Admitted Candidates - 7:30 p.m.
  

Middle School Grades 7 and 8 Admissions Timeline

Early Fall

• Contact the Admissions Office (617-469-8019) to obtain an admissions packet and application.

Sunday, October 18

• The Catholic Memorial Experience and Open House, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

October – January

• Register and sit for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) - Candidates may sit for the ISEE at any school in the Boston Area Consortium. Students must register directly for the ISEE with the Educational Records Bureau. This may be done online at www.iseetest.org. Please note that students must register for a test date three weeks in advance. Catholic Memorial's code is 222363.

December 19

• ISEE administered at Catholic Memorial

November 1 – December 31

• Apply for Financial Aid through FACTS (www.factstuitionaid.com). December 31 is the financial aid filing deadline for Grade 7-8 candidates.

November – February

• Interview with an admissions officer. All middle school applicants must sit for an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee. Please note that before an interview can be scheduled, a family must submit the Student Application and Parent Questionnaire.  Upon receiving these documents, the admissions office will contact you to schedule the interview. 

January 21

• Middle School Information Night, 7:00 p.m. in Donahue Hall

February 1

• Middle School Application Deadline

              A completed Grade 7 or Grade 8 application should include:

                        Student Application

                        Parent Questionnaire

                        Student Interview

                        ISEE Scores

                        School Report Form

                        English Teacher Evaluation
