Middle School Study Skills

The study skills and research skills program is taught by language arts and social studies teachers with the help of the librarian. Further, a member of the staff from the Boston Public Library will review proper library skills that students have to fully utilize library resources and reference materials.

The following topics are covered:
1. Organizing a notebook
2. Planning assignments
3. Note taking and outlining
4. Using note cards and bibliographies
5. Library orientation
6. Using reference books
7. Learning how to read for better comprehension
